I love the use of depth of field to create a foreground, middleground, and background. I think image 1 works better than image 2. In image 1, the foreground leaves lead your eye to her while simultaneously framing her. In the background there is another leading line made of the green/red leaves that emphasize your subject. The only downside of image 1 is that there is too much negative space at the top of her head. Keep it up!
